A Krasnodar resident decided to invest in cryptocurrency and transferred 1.1 million rubles to scammers

A 39-year-old man fell victim to a cryptocurrency investment scam. Krasnodar residents lost 1.1 million rubles.

A 39-year-old local resident reported the incident to the police. They say he fell for a trick related to cryptocurrency investments. Law enforcement officers found that the applicant was attracted by an ad from an online brokerage company. The manager was convinced that by following the expert's recommendations, he could make a significant profit.

The fraudster persuaded the man to take out a loan and transfer the money to a foreign currency account that guaranteed a high profit. As a result, the victim transferred 1.1 million rubles to the fraudster.

A criminal case on charges of fraud has been opened based on these facts. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Krasnodar reported that investigative measures and operational-search measures are being carried out to identify and detain the criminals.

We remind you that earlier, residents of Krasnodar became victims of fraud related to investments in cryptocurrency exchanges. On social networks, the woman met a man who claimed to earn good money on investments. During the conversation, the latter suggested the possibility of additional earnings and promised to teach all the nuances of financial transactions. On the advice of the fraudster, the Krasnodar resident deposited her personal savings in the amount of more than 1.8 million rubles into a foreign currency account.
