Voronezh is among the top 3 cities in Russia for using VoWiFi technology
Beeline has launched VoWiFi technology (voice over Wi-Fi) in all regions of Russia.
Over the past 12 months, the number of technology users has grown by 56%. The service is also popular with subscribers when traveling abroad: over the past year, the number of foreign users has grown by 50%. Voronezh is one of the three largest cities in Russia (along with Moscow and Sochi) where VoWiFi is most active. For example, in September, Beeline subscribers in Voronezh made more than 2.3 million minutes of calls using VoWiFi.
The most common users are Apple device owners (36%), followed by Samsung device buyers (24%) and Xiaomi device owners (16%). Realme (6%) and Tecno (4%) took 4th and 5th place.

VoWiFi is a very convenient technology that will help you stay connected even where there is no signal, save money abroad and create more connections. It is more stable and the signal is better. We will continue to develop our network and carry out redevelopment so that as many of our customers as possible can take advantage of all the benefits of modern communication technologies," said Valery Shorzhin, Vice President of PJSC VimpelCom (Beeline brand), Head of the Technology Block.
VoWiFi allows you to make voice calls and send and receive SMS messages via a Wi-Fi network. This allows customers to stay in touch even in basements, cellars, and upper floors of multi-story buildings where cellular signal transmission is difficult. This, in turn, increases security and allows subscribers to contact their loved ones.
