Therapist Chernyshova named three rules for strong immunity in old age

Quality sleep, walks in the fresh air and a varied diet will help maintain immunity in old age, therapist Nadezhda Chernyshova told Moscow 24.

The expert reminded that with a varied diet the body receives more nutrients necessary to maintain immunity.

It is also important to be outdoors.

“Walking saturates the blood with oxygen, improves the nutrition of all tissues, allows the body to do its job better, and the immune response remains strong,” the therapist said.

Another important component is sufficient sleep. According to Chernyshova, a rested body will be able to resist infections more easily.

The expert noted: "It is advisable to go to bed and wake up at the same time. Each person has different sleep standards, but if you feel rested after waking up, then you have slept well."

Earlier, nutritionist Irina Popkova advised Russians to eat pumpkin to strengthen their immune system. According to her, this product is rich in vitamin C. First of all, pumpkin contains vitamin A, which is good for vision, skin and mucous membranes. And the high potassium content helps to normalize blood pressure.
