Peskov criticizes German intelligence statement about "Russia's attack on NATO"

At a briefing, Peskov did not agree with the statement by the head of German intelligence, Bruno Karl, that Russia could attack NATO in the next 10 years, TASS reports.

Peskov stressed that such assumptions are illogical and contradict historical facts, given NATO’s repeated expansion to Russia’s borders.

"We all know all the waves of NATO expansion and all the stages of NATO infrastructure approaching the borders of the Russian Federation," Peskov said. According to him, this only confirms who actually poses a real threat.

Peskov added that the Russian military has all the potential necessary to defend its territory, but does not pose a threat to other countries. He noted that Russia has never transferred its military infrastructure to NATO and that this process has always gone in the opposite direction.

Former Chief of the General Staff of Poland Rajmund Andrzejczak announced Poland's intention to attack St. Petersburg in the event of a conflict with Russia, the Vzglyad newspaper reports.

BND leader Bruno Karl said Russia could attack NATO countries within the next six years and that Germany is in direct conflict with Moscow.
