Ombudsman Moskalkova named the number of border residents placed in temporary accommodation facilities

In 65 regions of Russia, 960 temporary accommodation centres have been created for residents of border territories. Currently, 30,415 people live there, including 7,670 children. Tatyana Moskalkova, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Russian Federation, said in an interview with aif.ru:

According to the ombudsman, her staff regularly visit Russians living in temporary detention centers. Most refugees contact her on legal issues such as payments, compensation for lost property, education and employment of children.

Tatyana Moskalkova also noted that many residents of the Kursk region did not leave the danger zone under any circumstances.

The ombudsman said: "I have seen children playing in the street wearing only socks. "They did not have time to take their shoes," he said.

The head of the Russian Human Rights Department emphasized that all people held in temporary detention centers are provided with beds, bedding, and food. In addition, humanitarian aid continues to arrive at temporary accommodation centers, and we help refugees find work.

Earlier, a farmer from the Kursk region spoke about the losses he suffered as a result of the actions of the Ukrainian military. According to him, he lost the farming business he had been building since 2000.
