Moskalkova reported the evacuation of more than 30 thousand Russians from the border area to temporary accommodation points

Moskalkova reported that more than 30 thousand Russians have been evacuated from border areas to temporary detention facilities.

Moskalkova reported that more than 30 thousand Russians were evacuated to temporary detention facilities in 65 regions.

Currently, 960 temporary accommodation points (TAP) have been deployed in 65 regions of Russia, where more than 30 thousand people live due to shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was stated by the Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova in an interview with the publication Argumenty i Fakty (AiF).

According to her, 7,670 of the 30,415 were minors. "My staff and I regularly visit temporary detention facilities where residents of Kursk, the Belgorod Region and other regions live," Moskalkova said.

The human rights ombudsman noted that many residents of the Kursk region left their homes "with their clothes on." Moskalkova said that the evacuated Russians spoke with pain and tears about how they lost their farms and homes. "And everyone is asking questions that have no answers yet. "When can I go home?" she asked.

Russia had previously said that at least 1,000 residents of the Kursk region had been expelled by Ukrainian forces. Moskalkova said she had sent a letter asking for a list of civilians who could be evacuated from combat zones in the Kursk region.
