China Prepares for Taiwan Blockade in Military Exercises: 'To Intimidate Separatists'
Beijing, October 14, FederalPress. China has held a large-scale military exercise called "Sharpsword-2024B." The Chinese military is simulating an attack, blockade, and occupation of important ports on the island and areas of the Taiwan Strait.
During the exercises, the PLA ground, sea and air forces will see ships and aircraft approach Taiwan from various directions. The fighters will also practice joint strikes, port blockades, strikes against sea and land targets, and control over key areas.
At the same time, Chinese coast guard ships patrol the Taiwan Strait, “managing and controlling” the area in accordance with the “one China” principle.
Earlier, news appeared that large-scale nuclear exercises would begin in Europe. It is being carried out in NATO countries.
