Entrepreneurs Complain About Debts from Wildberries Despite Empty Accounts
Several entrepreneurs have already had a hard time giving up cooperation with Wildberry. They receive the remainder of the remaining open account, and the market charges a commission. A similar situation has already been described in Business FM. Why is this happening?
Accounts are not used, and debts accumulate. Wildberry sellers continue to contact the Business FM editorial office with the same question. They wanted to close their profiles on the marketplace, but instead, fictitious sales are carried out in an incomprehensible way. It can take weeks or months to eliminate obvious errors in the Marketplace. During this period, the debt accumulates.
Entrepreneur Anna contacted our editor. In 2020, she planned to open an account with Wildberry and sell bearings there. We created several product cards for testing. Then priorities changed, the marketplace account was closed, there were no sales. A few years later, Wildberry suddenly began to report that the product was put up for sale, but this turned out to be impossible. And the market tries to write off small amounts of money every week for commissions, processing and storage, says Anna.
This spring, Business FM told a similar story about Muscovite Ilya Pinaychev, an individual entrepreneur selling socks. Having decided to test Wildberry in the same way, he created two cards with prizes, and then abandoned the account. And then, a year later, he went there and saw that 500 pairs of socks had suddenly arrived on his account, made sales on this account and charged a commission on the trading platform. Then the editor contacted Wildberry, and Ilya's problem was immediately resolved. The card was deleted and the interlocutor decided to leave the account. Now, Ilya says, the incomprehensible accusations have returned.
As the lawyer explained, in these cases we are not talking about hacking the account. This is a technical error related to the barcode problem. In Wildberry, sellers often create unique barcodes for their products, stick them on and send the goods to the site. However, the code may fall out or the standard code may remain and accidentally assign the code to someone on the marketplace. Being in debt means that other people's things continue to arrive on our hero's personal account. Perhaps it is not for sale. The commission goes to the acceptance itself. This is where the debt accumulates, and people find out about it months or even years later.
