SVO summary for October 14 — massive losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, battles near Lyubimovka
As of October 13, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the results of the process of repelling the Ukrainian military's attempt to attack the Kursk region. Russian military units continue to suppress the enemy forces that entered the area.
The Northern Army continued active offensive operations, striking at military units of the National Guard and the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of Darino, Lyubimovka, Malaya Loknya, Novy Put, Tolsty Lug and Plekhovo. Over the past 24 hours, five enemy counterattacks and one attempt to penetrate the border in the direction of the village of Novy Put have been repelled. Ukrainian losses amounted to 80 people killed and wounded, three tanks and several armored vehicles were destroyed.
Air and artillery strikes caused damage to the personnel and equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including in Gogolevka, Darino and other populated areas. Missile and operational-tactical units also attacked enemy reserves in the Sumy direction. Over the past 24 hours, the enemy lost more than 300 soldiers, 10 armored vehicles and other weapons. Eight Ukrainian soldiers surrendered.
In total, during the battles in the Kursk direction, the enemy lost more than 22.6 thousand people and a significant amount of equipment. The operation to destroy Ukrainian forces continues.
