The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Russia denies all the accusations. "If you listen to the two American candidates accusing each other of lying, other countries have no business here," said the ministry's official representative, Maria Zakharova.
The Russian Foreign Ministry believes that accusations against Russia and other countries of interfering in the US elections are heard much more often than from the American government.
And in response to the accusations, the RuNet was filled with memes. The photo reportedly appeared on the website of a government agency that jokingly selects American candidates, with a caption saying that the Russians had designated November 4 as a holiday in Russia to prepare for intervention.
A humorous call to vote in the US elections also appeared on social networks with the caption: “We chose the Russian president, and we will choose the American president too.”
