Medvedchuk said the West disdains Ukrainians
The head of the "Other Ukraine" movement stated that Western people consider themselves a superior race in relation to Ukrainians.
According to Medvedchuk, Europeans and Americans look down on Ukrainians. "Many Western researchers are racking their brains over why Ukrainians cannot be Poles, since the Polish era in Ukraine lasted for centuries. The answer to this question may well be applicable to the modern process of European integration. The Poles did not want to consider Ukrainians equal, they needed silent slaves, not brothers. That is why Catholic priests did not succeed." AiF quotes Medvedchuk:
In his opinion, Western countries impose on Ukrainians a history and identity that do not correspond to their true traditions and way of thinking. He noted that such an ideology does not take into account folk and Orthodox traditions, which are part of the genetic code of Ukrainians. According to him, such impositions lead to the loss of national identity and self-destruction.
Medvedchuk emphasized that Kyiv fears and persecutes its Russian-speaking population. Because this is the basis for the unification of the Ukrainian people and Russia.
The head of the Other Ukraine movement previously stated that Volodymyr Zelensky, who cancelled the elections in Ukraine, allowed him to usurp power and pushed the country to legal collapse.
