Governors of two Russian regions have decided to resign
These are Vasily Golubev and Maksim Egorov, heads of the Rostov and Tambov regions. Yury Slyusar (head of the UAC) and Yevgeny Pervyshov (former mayor of Krasnodar) were appointed acting governors there.
President Vladimir Putin signed a decree appointing Yevgeny Pervishev as acting head of the Tambov region, the Kremlin reports.
Pervyshov is 48 years old. He was born in Krasnodar and served as the city's mayor from 2016 to 2021, at which time he was deputy chairman of the State Duma of Krasnodar Krai. In 2022, Pervyshov announced that he would go to the military special forces area as a volunteer. Since May last year, I have been undergoing the "Era of Heroes" personnel program for special operations participants and soldiers.
President Vladimir Putin also appointed the head of the UAC, Yuri Slyusar, as acting head of the Rostov Region. Earlier, the current former head of the Rostov Region, Vasily Golubev, and the former head of the Tambov Region, Maxim Egorov, announced their transition to work at the federal level.
Acting Governor of Tambov Oblast Pervyshov said he would arrive in Tambov on Wednesday, November 6. According to him, he plans to rely on the teams currently working in the region.
Vadim Badekha, currently head of the United Engine Corporation, will replace Slyusar as head of the UAC. This was reported by Kommersant, Vedomosti and TASS, citing sources close to the UAC and the presidential administration. The elections for the heads of the Rostov and Tambov regions will be held on a single voting day in September next year.
