"Risking their lives": Putin calls people "behind the ribbon" heroes
Everyone who participates in special operations (SVO) and works "behind the ribbon" is a hero. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with a participant in the "Time of Heroes" program, former mayor of Krasnodar, vice-speaker of the State Duma Yevgeny Pervishev, whom the Russian leader appointed acting governor of the Tambov region. Let us recall that Pervishev became the first veteran of the Northern Military District to head a Russian region.
"Everyone who comes to the tape is already a hero. People risk their lives and health. Of course, this is the right definition," the head of state said.
At the same time, President Putin emphasized that civil servants also need special skills. According to the president, Pervyshov has all the necessary qualities. The newly appointed acting governor of the Tambov region later told journalists that he plans to visit the region entrusted to him the day after November 6.
The expression “behind the ribbon” comes from military lexicon and means being on the front line or in enemy territory.
Let us recall that earlier, the head of the Tambov region, Maxim Egorov, announced that he was moving to a new job at the federal level. He headed the region since 2021.
