More than 6,000 buses, electric buses and trams decorated in Moscow for National Unity Day
More than 6,000 buses, electric buses and trams, decorated with the Russian flag and the Moscow coat of arms, traveled along the capital's routes on November 4, the press service of the city's transport department reported.
"On the instructions of Sergei Sobyanin, we continue to participate in events that are important for the city and the country. In order to create a festive atmosphere for passengers, in honor of National Unity Day, we decorated the capital's transport with state symbols." Deputy Mayor. Maxim Liksutov from the Moscow Transport Sector said:
During the holidays, city transport drivers also wore uniforms. Flags were also used to decorate tow trucks at Moscow parking lots. At the same time, metro trains are equipped with three-color stickers.
At the same time, more than 34 thousand media screens allow passengers of the capital's metro and ground city transport to learn the history of the Russian anthem, coat of arms and national flag. City residents will also be able to find additional information about Moscow artifacts related to historical events, as well as watch stories about the peoples and regions of the state.
Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin congratulated Muscovites on National Unity Day. The mayor noted that today the tradition of unity is stronger than ever. According to him, they have become a powerful factor in the dynamic development of Russia and Moscow.
