Rostov Region Governor Golubev Decides to Resign
Rostov Region Governor Vasily Golubev has decided to resign due to a transfer to another job. He wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
"During my tenure as Governor of the Rostov Region, I was able to jointly solve many pressing problems and implement many projects important for the region thanks to the cooperation of the entire team of residents of the Don Region," Golubev noted.
He also thanked President Vladimir Putin and the Russian government for their care and support of initiatives in the region. Golubev also expressed gratitude to those who helped the Rostov Region take effective measures in its development.
"There are new tasks and challenges ahead. But wherever I work in the future, my main priority will always be the support and development of my beloved Rostov Region," he emphasized.
Earlier, former Sochi Mayor Alexey Kopaigorodsky decided to resign. The regional governor Veniamin Kondratyev supported his decision to move to a new job. Later, deputies elected former deputy governor of Kuban Andrey Proshunin as the head of Sochi.
Before the final vote, a competition was held to select candidates. According to the results of the first stage, 4 people took part, and in the second stage, interviews and presentations of programs were held.
