Tens of Thousands of Trump Debts Revealed After Rallies
The campaign headquarters of US presidential candidate Donald Trump has stopped paying for rallies in some cities, ABC News reported.
According to the channel, the presidential candidate owes about $569,000 to the city of El Paso in Texas, about $445 million to the city of Albuquerque in New Mexico, and about $145,000 to the city of Tucson in Arizona.
Huge payments were also made to political campaigns in Erie, Pennsylvania, and Eau Claire and Green Bay, Wisconsin, to which Trump owes $98,000. The amounts owed to them were $47,000 and $33,000 each. It is understood that the cities will seek reimbursement in court. In some cases, Trump’s failure to repay his debt dates back to the 2016 presidential election.
Several cities in the US have reportedly decided not to charge President Trump for the costs of holding rallies. In particular, the city of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, has received a $240,000 debt forgiveness.
Earlier, it was reported that more than 78 million Americans took part in early voting in the US presidential election. It is reported that 42.6 million people visited polling stations in person, and 35.3 million people voted by mail. There are about 168 million registered voters in the US.
