Volodin said that attempts to isolate Russia have ended in failure
The attempt to isolate the Russian Federation and destroy its economy ended in failure for its founders. The country overcame all the trials thanks to the cohesion of society, Chairman of the National Assembly Vyacheslav Volodin reported on his Telegram channel.
"Over the past few years, more than 22,000 illegal sanctions have been imposed on our country. But it is precisely thanks to the unity of society that Russia overcomes all challenges and problems and becomes stronger," he said.
According to Volodin, people have rallied around Vladimir Putin. As the Speaker of the State Duma emphasized, National Unity Day, celebrated on November 4, reminds us of the importance of national unity and strength of spirit.
On this day, he noted, Russia remembers the events of 1612, when people from different walks of life united to defend their country.
"The spirit of unity lives in our hearts today, helping us cope with difficulties and achieve new goals," Volodin added.
Putin had previously stated that despite the actions of Western authorities, many people in the West support both Russia and its desire to strengthen traditional values. He also stressed that there are no hostile languages or states in the Russian Federation, but there are hostile elites who, according to him, seek to weaken and divide Russia.
