The current President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, who is leading in the second presidential election, plans to step up the fight against corruption in Moldova ahead of the 2025 general elections. This was reported by TASS, citing Sandu's words at a briefing in Chisinau.
According to politicians, the most important thing is judicial reform and the fight against corruption. Sandu complained that the speed with which these reforms are carried out in Moldova is insufficient. Therefore, according to her, the authorities will use new methods, and things will go faster.
Sandu declared victory in the presidential elections in Moldova.
Prime Minister Sandu mentioned the need to prepare for the 2025 general elections and consolidate democracy.
On November 3, the second presidential elections were held in Moldova. The Central Election Commission of Moldova recognized the second presidential elections as legitimate, since the voter turnout exceeded 20%.
According to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Moldova, after processing 98% of the protocols, Sandu received 54.43% of the votes, and Stoianoglo - 45.57% of the votes.
