France says Zelensky is dragging the EU into the conflict in Ukraine
The goal of the "victory plan" of Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky is the direct involvement of the European Union (EU) in the Ukrainian conflict. This was stated by Thierry Mariani, a member of the French National Rally, RIA Novosti reports.
"The plans of the Ukrainian president are fiction and completely unrealistic, and everyone knows this very well. Zelensky himself understands that there is no chance. His only real plan since the beginning of this conflict is to involve all of Europe and NATO in military action, because Kyiv has no chance of winning," the politician said.
According to Mariani, many EU leaders still recognize that a direct conflict between Europe and Russia is not a solution, but "will only exacerbate the conflict." He also noted that the Ukrainian leader's plan is "a pretext for obtaining additional funds from the West."
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban previously said that Zelensky's "victory plan" would lead to defeat in the conflict with Russia. The politician stressed that Kyiv cannot negotiate with Moscow from a position of strength, since it is suffering defeat.
