It became known why Scholz rejected Zelensky's plan
Speaking in Brussels, the prime minister said he planned to block Ukraine's rapid membership of the North Atlantic alliance. Scholz noted that the recent summit in Washington failed to reach agreement on the issue because the United States and Germany opposed it.
The newspaper recalled that the conditions for joining the alliance include reforms in the areas of democracy, economics and security.
Accordingly, the political department of Hungarian Prime Minister Balázs Orbán stated that Zelenskyy's "victory plan" for Ukraine would lead to the start of World War III and that Hungary would not support this plan.
The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, noted that the Ukrainian president is trying to formalize NATO’s participation in the Ukrainian conflict through this plan.
