Inflation in Tyumen Oblast Outpaces Average Urals Federal District Indicators
In September, the inflation rate in Tyumen Oblast rose to 8.06%, which is higher than in the Ural Federal District. This was reported by the press service of the Bank of Russia branch.
"Annual inflation in the Tyumen region (excluding autonomous districts) in September 2024 reached 8.06% after 7.88% in August. "The annual rate of price growth in the region was higher than in the Urals Federal District (7.89%), but lower than in Russia as a whole (8.63%)," the agency noted.
The main reasons for the central bank to accelerate inflation were demand for foreign tourism and rising food production costs. The largest price increases in the region compared to the previous year were for fruit and vegetable products (14.49%) and passenger transport (13.87%).
