A survivor of the Sea of Okhotsk will tell about the causes of the tragedy and the search for rescuers
On August 9, a catamaran with three passengers on board was sailing from Mys Perovsky, Nikolaevsky District, Khabarovsk Krai, towards Okinsky District, Sakhalin Oblast. After some time, I lost contact with them. Almost immediately, 60 km from the shore, the group's engine failed, after which they lost their oars and anchor and were carried far out to sea. Boats passed by them regularly, but they were impossible to find. The catamaran was found with Pichugin and two bodies on October 15.
