"And what kind of Oak Alley is this now?!": in Svetlogorsk, century-old trees are being cut down to lay sewers (photo, video)

In Svetlogorsk, on Dubovaya Alley, centuries-old trees are being cut down to install a sewer system. A concerned local resident, Alexandra, told Klopps about this.

The girl witnessed the demolition of the oak tree on Wednesday, October 16. "Walking by, I saw how these huge trees were simply cut down. The workers said that they were planning to plant 14 more of these oak trees. I don't understand why they can't be saved. "Ultimately, all the utilities will be installed further along the road so that they can move at a distance of a meter!" Alexandra shared.

The girl contacted the governor via a Telegram bot and wrote on the social networks of the local Ministry of Natural Resources. But she has not yet received any response.

The press service of the Svetlogorsk administration reported that, at the request of Vodokanal, a forestry permit was issued for the construction of a sewer collector from the children's sports and health center to the fire station in Pionersky.

"The company submitted a compensatory landscaping project agreed upon with the Ministry of Natural Resources and completed a forest pathology examination conducted by Roslesozashchita specialists," the administration added.
