Residents of Voronezh multi-storey building left without elevators for 4 months

Nobody can say when the elevator will start working.

The elevator in one of the entrances of a 12-story building in Voronezh, located at 130 Leninsky Prospekt, has not been working for almost four months. Residents have to go up. Pensioners living on the upper floors experience particular inconvenience. So for 63-year-old Lyudmila Ivanovna, going down from the 10th floor and returning home is a huge challenge. And pensioners have to go to the clinic and undergo procedures almost every day.

"My mother's leg hurts. Now the doctors have prescribed the necessary procedures that need to be done at the clinic." "Yo!" says the correspondent. The elderly woman's daughter, Natalia. "And for her, this road is nothing but tears." It is very difficult for her to travel so many flights. She doesn't want to leave the house.

Natalya says that the non-working elevators (there are two in the building), ironically, are not broken at all. It's just that the management company that runs the building decided to replace it with a new building as part of a major overhaul. The repair work began in mid-June, the crews worked hard and three weeks ago announced that everything was ready. But it's impossible to call the elevator. The elevator doesn't work.

"We called the management company, and they accepted our application, but they couldn't start accepting the elevator," says Natalia. "At first they didn't explain the reason, but when we started complaining to other authorities - the housing inspectorate, the prosecutor's office, it turned out that the contractor hadn't done his job properly, there were a lot of violations, and while it was removed, otherwise the elevator wouldn't work.

The 12-story building is managed by the management company "Stability". 'yo it!' We have a correspondent. They replied that the elevator was replaced by the company "Beltranslift", but after the completion of the work and inspection of the structure, the Rostekhnadzor commission found a number of technical violations.

"The capital repairs fund is currently working on this issue. Specialists have sent a request to the contractor to fix all the problems," says a utility worker. "But it's hard for us to say how long this process will take." We hope it won't take too long.
