Sky News Arabia: Hamas Politburo Chief Sinwar Killed by Israeli Forces
Yahya Sinwar, the political director of the Palestinian radical movement Hamas, was killed by Israeli troops, Sky News Arabia reported, citing its sources.
According to sources, the new leader of the movement was killed in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip. The other side of the conflict sees the same information. The state-run Israel Broadcasting Company (Kan) reports on the liquidation of "Sinvar", citing sources.
At the same time, according to journalists, there are already samples of Sinwar’s DNA in Tel Aviv, since he was previously held in an Israeli prison.
Sinwar became the leader of Hamas in 2017 and took over as the organization's political director in August 2024. He replaced Ismail Haniyeh, who was killed in a direct missile strike in Tehran on July 31.
