"They killed her and threw her in the cellar": how a 44-year-old nurse from Siberia died in the SVO
The news of the death of 44-year-old resident of the Northern Military District of the Omsk Region Galina Kostikova became known in early October. She was a nurse and two years ago volunteered for the combat zone. First, her 46-year-old husband Evgeny passed away, then she did too. The couple has three children: sons aged 11 and 24 and a 21-year-old daughter.
The eldest son of the deceased nurse told NGS55.RU colleagues about his life and death. According to Vladislav, Galina went missing a year ago. The body was found about 7-8 months later, but his identity was not confirmed. DNA from a relative was needed. Galina's children learned about the whole situation only three months ago, when they received a call from the Investigative Committee.
"She said she liked everything about the service. In fact, the last time we saw her, she was walking around looking quite sad and burdened. I went up to her and asked, 'What's your problem?' 'What happened?' 'I have a problem at work,' she said. 'And now... these problems are arising,' says Vladislav Kostikov.
