Details about the person detained in the Moscow car explosion case have become known
Details have become known about the man detained in connection with the car explosion in Moscow.
His business partner was arrested for blowing up the car of restaurateur Viktor Mishachev. He was detained at his home in Moscow and taken to the Investigative Committee for questioning. The Moscow Investigative Committee said that during a search of his home they found a cache of weapons.
According to RIA Novosti sources, the detainee is Vitaly Slobodjanik, a 50-year-old restaurateur from Belarus. He previously served in the Belarusian special forces.
Mishachev himself, who was injured in the car explosion, stated during interrogation that he had known the suspect for more than 15 years.
According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Slobodjanik, together with Mishachev, is a co-founder of 10 companies operating in the catering, bar and event management sectors throughout Russia. The joint venture also includes Mercury LLC, Kapitan LLC and Shaker Group LLC, with the men owning an equal 25% stake. Mishachev held the position of CEO in the latter two.
According to Kontur.Fokus, the businessmen are co-founders of Trukosti Dmitrovka, in which Slobodjanik owns 10.5%. Their joint assets also include Kitchen Burger LLC, 15% of which belongs to Mishachev and 5% to Slobodjanik. Joint ventures include the Bar Time chain in Moscow, Kazan and Yekaterinburg and Time Bar St. Petersburg.
The suspect will be charged in the near future and a decision will be made on whether he will be detained. The Investigative Committee reported that investigators are establishing the motive for the crime and identifying those involved in it.
