Single fathers may be allowed to retire early
Moscow, October 17, FederalPress. A group of LDPR deputies headed by party leader Leonid Slutsky plans to introduce a bill to the House of Representatives that would grant the right to early retirement to single fathers with many children. There will be questions about this today.
To do this, the individual pension coefficient must be at least 30, the length of service must be at least 15 years, and child care must be provided for 8 years from the date of receiving the qualification of a single parent. According to the authors of the bill, single mothers with many children already have this right. At the same time, children whose single father has been deprived of parental rights or whose adoption has been cancelled are not taken into account.
The head of the LDPR faction, Sergei Leonov, stated that single fathers are also full-fledged parents and that measures to support early retirement for them should be the same as for mothers, TASS reports.
