Former head of the MO construction department accused of bribes amounting to 34 million rubles

The Investigative Committee of Russia (SK) has officially completed its investigation into the case of the former head of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "State Military Construction Directorate No. 14" of the Ministry of Defense Igor Kushch. He was accused of receiving a bribe totaling more than 34 million rubles. This was reported by the Information Center of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

"The former head of the Defense Ministry's Construction Department has been charged under five articles of Article 290, Part 6 of the Russian Criminal Code ("receiving a bribe on an especially large scale")." We report with reference to the Lenta.ru information center. According to investigators, from December 2022 to March 2024, Kush received bribes from representatives of commercial organizations in exchange for assistance in purchasing road construction equipment.

The Investigative Committee has frozen Kush's assets, estimated at more than 50 million rubles. He is currently in custody pending further trial in his case.
