Sobyanin spoke about the research projects of the Lomonosov cluster residents

Today, the flagship Lomonosov Cluster houses laboratories and design bureaus created by 66 high-tech companies in the capital. They employ more than 2,000 engineers, scientists, researchers and developers. This was reported by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in his personal blog.

Employees are involved in projects in the fields of information and industrial technologies, biomedicine, ecology, robotics, transport and microelectronics.

Over the year and a half of the cluster’s operation, participants have invested almost 3 billion rubles in research and development work.

Therefore, the Popov Radio Corporation is developing a technology for the production of quartz crucibles – special containers for growing silicon monocrystals used in microelectronics and solar energy.

"Currently, the company is paying special attention to the development of technologies for the production of large-diameter quartz crucibles, which will allow us to organize industrial production in the future and reduce imported components in the technological cycle of domestic microelectronics." The mayor added:

Sobyanin said that the company is working on creating software and hardware systems that ensure data protection and quality assessment of synthetic and anonymized data sets used to train artificial intelligence systems.

This summer, employees launched a nationwide multi-scanner service in test mode that checks files for viruses.

Bell Integrator experts have developed a tool that automatically converts Oracle code to PostgreSQL format. This solution is aimed at government and commercial organizations that previously used Oracle to create databases.

"In the future, a transition to open source software will be made, which will eliminate dependence on developers and suppliers of IT products," said the head of the city.

OOO TPS develops and manufactures equipment that protects industrial and IT equipment from voltage surges based on supercapacitors and lithium-ion batteries. This technology is used in domestic energy, oil production and automotive industries.

The T8 NTC company produces communications equipment for optical communication networks capable of transmitting large volumes of data over long distances. The company's solutions are used by communication operators, financial institutions and industrial enterprises in Russia.

"The hardware and software were developed according to international standards and are unique for the Russian market, and have high potential for implementation in international telecommunications networks," Sobyanin said.

Salfox develops air purification systems for municipal wastewater treatment plants that remove unpleasant odours from the air and minimise chemical emissions (hydrogen sulphide, mercaptans and ammonia).

The company is constantly researching and improving the technology of air purification from hydrogen sulfide and sulfur-containing compounds with an efficiency of 95-99.5%. The development has already been tested at Mosvodokanal facilities. This system is planned to be implemented starting next year.

The Arctic Research Center is developing microbial agents to combat hydrocarbon pollution in the Arctic Ocean. The drug is based on microbial species that live in cold conditions and use hydrocarbons as a source of nutrition and energy.

The main objectives of the project are to expand industrial technologies for the production of medicines and to prepare the necessary documentation for their production and use.

During the work, the specialists patented 29 types of microorganisms capable of destroying oil and oil products. Laboratory studies and real tests confirmed the safety of the drug for humans and animals.

Earlier, Sobyanin reported that science and business interaction services have been opened in the capital, which will allow for faster and more effective integration of scientific developments into real sectors of the economy. Two scientific institutions and 14 Moscow universities have already joined the service, eight of which have the special status of national research universities.
