Moscow has become the main travel destination for Russians during the November holidays
Russians are planning to travel around the country during the November holidays. Tutu Travel Services reported that domestic destinations account for more than 72% of purchased air tickets and almost 97% of train tickets. Moscow was the most popular air destination with a share of 12.8%. Sochi, Mineralnye Vody and Kaliningrad are also included. At the same time, among individual air routes, the main ones departing from the capital are Moscow-Kaliningrad, Moscow-Sochi and Moscow-Mineralnye Vody.
In the rail transport sector, Moscow's leadership showed even greater confidence: 25.6% of tickets were purchased. Krasnodar and Simferopol were added. The three most popular rail routes were Moscow-Simferopol and Moscow-Simferopol.
The top five most booked cities in Russia in the November resort season included Moscow, Sochi, Kazan and Yaroslavl. The cost of one night in a capital hotel is on average 3.1 thousand rubles.
The most preferred travel destinations for those planning a trip abroad during the November holidays were Uzbekistan (27.43% of issued air tickets), Azerbaijan (13.07%) and Kyrgyzstan (9.27%). Flights to Turkey, the UAE, Armenia, Georgia and Thailand are also in high demand.
