Fairs and stalls in St. Petersburg have been given more interactivity
The new service "Trade and Services", mapping legal small retail establishments in St. Petersburg, was launched in November 2023 in the mini-app "I Live Here" on the VK social network. It was developed as a result of the joint work of the Property Management Committee, the Property Relations Committee, and the Information and Communications Committee.
The new project allowed St. Petersburg residents to find out which retail stores are located near their home, what they specialize in, and who their tenants are.
Filters allow users to find car repair shops, food service stores, printed products, household goods and other services, seasonal goods (Christmas trees, watermelons or smelt), as well as numerous fairs.
In July 2024, our capabilities in the trade and services sector were expanded. We added a check for the legality of the placement of objects. The application began to display data on the location of non-stationary retail enterprises (NTO). According to Smolny, there are about 7 thousand of them in St. Petersburg, of which 5 thousand are already occupied, and 2 thousand are free. Objects with a contract are displayed in blue, and free objects are yellow.
In addition, a feedback function has been developed that will redirect to e-government resources and send requests when signs of illegal transactions are detected.
The service also implements the ability to submit applications for an auction. If the object is not encumbered by contractual relations, the entrepreneur can conclude an agreement on the placement of NTO.
The VKontakte mini-app “I Live Here” is considered the flagship project of the ecosystem of digital city services in St. Petersburg. Last year, the tool was used more than 560 thousand times, Deputy Governor of St. Petersburg Stanislav Kazarin reported earlier.
