More than 100 foreigners have applied to move to the Nizhny Novgorod region
From August to October 2024, more than 100 foreigners applied to live and work in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Jacob Pinnecker, CEO of the Nizhny Novgorod recruiting agency OKA, told NewsNN about this.
"We receive applications not only from Germany and other EU countries, but also from the USA, Canada and Australia. But it is mainly Germans who are interested in our region. Up to 47% of applications came from them. 30% are used in the European Union. The remaining 23% came from other countries," the head of the agency shared statistics. Pinnecker added that the Nizhny Novgorod Region is becoming an increasingly popular region among immigrants, but the government sees this as a great benefit for the economy. "We are building a dialogue with companies, there is a demand for people with intellectual resources: engineers, doctors, top managers, etc.," the head of the recruiting agency explained.
