An improvised explosive device (IED) exploded in the Chinese SUV of businessman Viktor Mishachev on Profsoyuznaya Street in Moscow. As a result of the accident, three people, including a 6-year-old child, were seriously injured, and two cars were damaged. A criminal case has been opened on this incident. In the morning, a man and his child left a multi-story residential building on Profsoyuznaya Street and headed to their car. The man saw a bag attached to the hood of his SUV and threw it into a nearby trash can. Then he noticed another child's diaper and the items underneath it. When he tried to remove it, an explosion occurred, the Vystrel Telegram channel reported.
The businessman lost part of his right arm and suffered a shrapnel wound to his leg. The child's head was cut off. His neighbor, 43-year-old driller Alexander, was also near the epicenter of the explosion. He was found to have shrapnel wounds to his legs and right thigh. All the victims were immediately taken to the hospital by ambulance.
In addition, an explosion occurred in a Mazda car parked next to an SUV. It belongs to the businessman's block. Her car had more damage than the tank. The damaging elements led to cuts, punctured tires and broken glass.
The owner of the SUV is Viktor Mishachev, CEO of Shaker Group. He owns shares in 13 restaurants, including the Coyote Ugly and Dirty Dancing bars in Moscow, Bunin Bar in Yekaterinburg, and Time Bar in St. Petersburg.
The version currently being considered is that the motive for the attempted murder could have been a business dispute. There are no suspects yet.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case on the fact of attempted murder of two or more people. Investigators and forensic experts of the local Main Investigative Department are working on the ground in close cooperation with operational services. The Investigative Committee reported that it plans to conduct a number of tests, including medical and explosive ones, to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.
