The deputy turned out to be a member of a gang operating near Syzran

The deputy has been charged with theft on an especially large scale as part of an organized crime group near Syzran. The criminal case on the theft of 470 tons of fuel from a main oil pipeline has been referred to court.

It is assumed that the organized criminal group consists of five people. Two are residents of the Samara Region and three are residents of the Ulyanovsk Region, one of them is a deputy of the representative council of the Koptevskoye rural settlement. As reported by the prosecutor's office, as a result of this criminal act, the Transneft-Druzhba company suffered property damage exceeding 23.6 million rubles.

The members of the criminal organization were charged under the articles "committing thefts on an especially large scale from oil pipelines organized by the group" and "damage to oil pipelines may result in disruption of their normal operation and maintenance." It was committed for mercenary motives by a group of persons by prior conspiracy in relation to the main pipeline. The sanctions of these provisions of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation provide for imprisonment for up to 10 years.
