The first snow fell in the Leningrad region on October 15

The first snow fell in the Leningrad Region. Snow-white flakes covered the roofs of houses, yellow bushes and withered grass in the village of Vinnitsa in the Podporozhsky District. At the same time, snow continues to hang in the air, reminding us that winter is already very close. By the way, forecaster Alexander Kolesov previously warned of wet snow in nearby areas.

- In the coming night and the first half of tomorrow, October 15, wet snow and rain are expected in the eastern part of Leningrad. Then the weather-determining cyclone will move towards the White Sea, and with it precipitation in the form of wet snow, moving north through Petrozavodsk. And now it's all about the snow," Kolesov explained.

Therefore, it can be said that the first snow of October in the Leningrad region will not stay long. But it gave local residents the opportunity to crack snowflakes and enjoy the magnificent atmosphere.

- When the snow melts, only a little remains on the ground, but it will soon disappear. "Precipitation in the form of wet snow will follow in the first half of the day, and then as warm air moves east, the wet snow will turn into rain," Kolesov added.

The thermometer shows up to +4 degrees. Tomorrow, October 16, the weather in the Leningrad Region will be affected by high pressure, so tomorrow it may rain in the region, but in the future, mostly dry days are expected.
