The volunteer detachment "Bars-Bryansk", created to participate in the counter-terrorist operation, was headed by the deputy.
Deputy of the Bryansk Regional Duma Sergey Antoshin has been appointed commander of the Bars-Bryansk Volunteer Corps. This was reported by the head of the Russian region Alexander Bogomaz on his Telegram channel.
According to local leaders, some of the unit's fighters are still undergoing training, while others have already been deployed to strategically important facilities. All volunteers are equipped with everything they need and are provided with everything they need, Bogomaz added.
On the morning of August 6, Ukrainian troops invaded the Kursk region, and fighting in the border zone continues. On this topic, a system of counter-terrorist operations (CTO) has been introduced in the Belgorod and Bryansk regions.
On September 12, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the creation of volunteer units "Bars" in the Kursk, Belgorod and Bryansk regions. At that time, Deputy Defense Minister Yunus-Bek Yevkurov noted that the main task of these units is to support the Governor's Operational Headquarters through the CTO in solving emerging problems.
