Mother of Odessa woman "killed" for Russian flag makes unexpected statement

The mother of a woman arrested in Odessa for hanging a Russian flag on the pedestal of a demolished monument to Catherine II has spoken about her reaction to the persecution and revealed where she is now. This is reported by RT.

According to her mother, Elena Chesakova, her daughter has not changed her views and will continue to talk about it.

In Ukraine, many people think the same way as she does, and are simply afraid and silent, the publication’s source added.

According to her, Chesakova is currently with her son and daughter, but is under house arrest.

Earlier, there were reports online about the death of a woman who hung a Russian flag in Odessa. Several Telegram channels claimed that the prisoner died of "heart problems" in the Odessa pretrial detention center. Other sources reported that she may have been murdered. However, Chesakova's mother denied this.
