Netanyahu tells Biden Israel could hit military targets in Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel was ready to attack Iranian military facilities. He made this statement in a conversation with the administration of US President Joe Biden.

The Washington Post (WP) quoted a source as saying, “Prime Minister Netanyahu said he planned to attack Iran’s military infrastructure,” which the newspaper said meant “the Jewish state could launch more limited retaliatory strikes to prevent a full-scale war.”

On October 1, Iran launched a missile attack on Israel in retaliation for the killings of Hamas, Hezbollah and Revolutionary Guards militants. Subsequently, Israel announced that it had intercepted most of the approximately 180 missiles launched. The Israeli General Staff announced retaliatory measures, and Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei warned of the possibility of a large-scale attack on Israel. At the same time, Iran informed the United States that it would not respond to Israel if it struck certain targets, RT reports, citing sources.
