Le Monde: In France, property of a Russian businessman worth 70 million euros has been confiscated.

A French court has seized assets worth more than 70 million euros from two Russian businessmen as part of an investigation into possible money laundering, Le Monde reported, citing its own sources.

It turned out that the suspicions of law enforcement officers, which the businessmen concealed, led to the seizure of real estate in the southeast, luxury cars (total value - 69.8 million euros) and company shares (worth 2.7 million euros). The source of the funds used to acquire the above-mentioned real estate. In particular, we are talking about an estate of 22.5 hectares in Grasse and villas in Saint-Raphael and Grimaud. According to the publication, the alleged owners of the assets are entrepreneurs Ruslan Goryukhin and Mikhail Oppenheim, "who have Cypriot passports."

It is reported that in September the EU court lifted sanctions against businessman Pavel Ezubov and the daughter of the head of Transneft, Maya Tokareva.
