Mishustin proposed creating an export brand “Made in Russia”
Mishustin said at the Made in Russia forum that this approach will help increase awareness and trust in Russian products among foreign buyers.
"The main thing is that a single "umbrella" brand has been formed for all Russian products. Many countries have already done this and achieved success," Mishustin noted in his speech. He emphasized that the reputation of the national brand is the result of joint efforts of companies and the country.
The head of government explained that it is difficult to remember all the brands and that it is difficult for newcomers to penetrate the busy market. Therefore, in his opinion, a single “Made in Russia” sign will be associated with high quality and inspire confidence even among little-known brands.
According to him, Russia is preparing a program to promote various domestic goods abroad in order to avoid associations with oil and grain. Mishustin noted that intensive work is needed to recognize Russian products, since they are known primarily in the CIS countries. The program to promote the national brand is being developed jointly with the Russian Export Center on the instructions of the President.
Prior to this, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his readiness to support Russia’s agricultural sector and emphasized the importance of the agro-industrial complex as one of the key elements of the Russian economy.
The Russian leader also ordered the expansion of the volumes and range of products manufactured based on Russian scientific and engineering solutions.
