Resort tax in St. Petersburg brought 561 million rubles to the city budget

St. Petersburg, October 14, FederalPress. In September alone, thanks to experiments in developing resort infrastructure, the northern capital earned 85 million rubles. Deputy Governor of St. Petersburg Alexey Korabelnikov said that the results of resort fees exceeded expectations by almost two times.

Neva, citing a government representative, reported that the amount discussed when planning the 2024 budget was 300 million rubles. The experiment expires at the end of the year. From January 1, 2025, the city will introduce a tourist tax, which is paid by hotels, not travelers.

Earlier, FederalPress reported that Smolny announced the amount of the tourist tax for 2025-2027.
