Folk omens for October 15 have been published: what is forbidden to do on this day

According to the folk calendar, October 15 is celebrated as the Day of Kupriyan, in honor of the Orthodox holy martyrs Kupriyan (Cyprian) and Ustinya (Justina).

They were believed to protect against witchcraft and evil spirits. According to popular belief, if you do not pray to the saints on this day, you can fall under the influence of the devil.

If the weather is clear, there will be no clouds in the sky for several weeks.

Winds from the north foretell early frosts, while winds from the south foretell a longer period of warmth.

If the flies don't sleep, it will be warm.

On this day, it was customary to plant vegetables for the winter: beets, carrots, parsley, sorrel, etc. People also believed that it was important to protect their homes from evil forces, so they prayed and sprinkled water on the corners of their houses. Among household chores, girls were encouraged to do needlework, and boys - simple repairs. The evening is usually spent with family.
