In Kirov, rent for one type of apartment has skyrocketed by 30 percent
Experts analyzed the real estate rental market in large domestic cities. Data on the situation in Kirov is published on the portal mirkvartir.ru.
Analysts note that in most Russian cities, rental prices continue to rise. According to the data, the rent for an average studio apartment in Russia has become 21.7% more expensive than at the beginning of 2024. Prices for a two-room apartment have increased by 18.8%, and for three-room apartments by 15.1%.
In Kirov, there is a decline in one type of apartment: three-room apartments. Over 9 months, rent for such housing has become cheaper by 9.6% (RUB 31.2 thousand per month until October). At the same time, rent for one-room apartments has increased by 19.4% (RUB 20.5 thousand). As a result, rent for a two-room apartment has increased by 30%, reaching RUB 27.3 thousand.
With interest rates rising and showing no signs of falling in the future, and preferential mortgage programs winding down, a large part of the population prefers to live in rented properties. Landlords are taking advantage of this situation to inflate rents, and the analysis data shows that the rate of rent growth in the last quarter exceeded the overall price dynamics in the first half of the year.
