Meanwhile, the Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to scientists John Hopfield and Geoffrey Hinton for their research in the field of neural networks.
As a result, American scientists Victor Ambros and Gary Ravkan received the Medical Prize for the discovery of microRNA molecules that regulate gene function.
