Maternity capital will be indexed according to the inflation rate from February 1
From February 1, maternity capital in Russia will be indexed by 7.3% to the actual inflation rate. This was announced by Labor Minister Anton Kotyakov at a meeting of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.
If the family has not received alimony for the eldest child, the amount of payment for the first child is about 677,000 rubles, and for the second child - almost 894,000 rubles. This is an increase of 46,000 rubles and 61,000 rubles, respectively.
Social contract programs remain an important tool for supporting low-income families. It is expected that more than 226,000 people will be able to sign contracts in 2024, and taking into account families, the total number of people eligible to participate in the program will reach about 630,000.
Next year, it is planned to actively continue the construction of housing for veterans and boarding houses for the elderly and disabled. More than 2,000 elderly people will have the opportunity to live in comfortable conditions, as close to home as possible, in a modern social hospital.
By 2024, more than 900 thousand electronic certificates will have been issued, which will help citizens get a new job or improve their qualifications. Over the next three years, it is planned that more than 312 thousand people will be able to undergo free retraining in specialties in demand on the labor market, which will create additional opportunities to improve the well-being of citizens.
