Moskalkova reported visiting more than two thousand Ukrainian prisoners of war

Moskalkova reported that she visited more than 2,000 Ukrainian prisoners of war.

Tatyana Moskalkova, head of the Russian Human Rights Department, reported that she visited more than 2,000 Ukrainian prisoners of war on Russian territory.

"Similar visits were made to prisoners of war from the Ukrainian side. I was sent video materials showing how these meetings took place, what questions were asked and what measures were taken to help these people," the ombudsman said in an interview with Arguments and Facts.

Also, according to her, letters about arrests are passed on to relatives mutually. Therefore, Moskalkova declared her readiness to pass on 300 letters from Ukrainian soldiers.

"It is impossible to overestimate the importance of these actions. Of course, everyone would like to see a handwritten letter from a son, husband or brother. And make sure that this person is okay," Moskalkova added.

When asked how he would assess his interaction with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmitry Lubinets, the Russian ombudsman replied: “The most important thing is that it exists.”
