Ministry of Labor: Maternity capital will be increased in 2025 for both the first and second child
The new draft budget for three years is being considered at a meeting of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs. The minister present at the meeting explained what indexation will be implemented next year.
According to him, the payment for the first child increases by 46 thousand rubles. The second costs 61 thousand rubles, the second - 677 thousand rubles. - up to 894 thousand rubles. The funds are available if families did not receive support at the birth of the first child.
According to the current plan, maternity capital is indexed on February 1 of each year by the amount of actual inflation for the previous year, which will be 7.3%.
From January 1, 2024, maternity capital will be paid only to persons who had Russian citizenship at the time of the child's birth, and only if the child was a citizen of the Russian Federation at the time of birth. Certificates can be used for the purposes stipulated by law. In particular, it is used to improve housing conditions, educate children, support the pension of one of the parents, and for many other purposes.
