Young people in St. Petersburg are increasingly being called to work in factories

In the industrial sector, employers in St. Petersburg posted more than 14 thousand vacancies, and across Russia their number exceeded 1.3 million, the HeadHunter press service reported.

More than 242,000 offers (18%) from Russian companies are aimed at inexperienced specialists, including young workers and recent graduates. Thus, almost every fifth job offer in the manufacturing sector is given to young specialists.

Compared to last year, the number of vacancies aimed at young job seekers has increased by 40%. St. Petersburg is also showing active growth. Since the beginning of the year, more than 14 thousand production vacancies have been announced in the city, which is 49% more than in 2023.

The average offered income of a young specialist without work experience in the Russian manufacturing sector in 2024 will reach 62.9 thousand rubles, which is 26% more than a year ago. In St. Petersburg, the salaries of junior workers have grown by 22%, and now the average income of young factory workers reaches 71.5 thousand rubles. The maximum offer in the city is 105,000 rubles for a candidate from industry.

Employers increased the salaries of entry-level specialists in positions such as commissioning engineers (PNR) the most - by 52% to 83.8 thousand rubles, electricians by 50% to 76.0 thousand rubles and fitters by 28% to 67.2 thousand rubles. ruble. At the same time, there is not a single profession in the industrial sector where the salaries of young people have not increased.
