Yaroslavl resident deceived scammers
A 26-year-old resident of the Yaroslavl region was convinced by fraudsters that he needed to replace his compulsory medical insurance. To do this, they asked for his code in a message. Then a "representative of the state service" called the man and said that they were trying to get a loan on his behalf. To "avoid" this, the Yaroslavl residents were asked to come to the bank, apply for a loan and transfer it to a specific account.
- A man who received $600,000 from a bank reported it to the police after realizing that he had acted under the influence of a fraudster. He managed to free himself from the fraudsters' influence and save money, the Russian Interior Ministry for the Yaroslavl Region reported.
